My latest and largest piece who is now quietly sitting in the studio window. The dancing leaf and water goddess two piece vase.

For this piece I combined 3 thrown forms with slab built elements to allow them to fit together as one, I use blue porcelain slip on top of white clay and carve back the leaf and flower design. Two sculpted goddesses with golden hair adorn the vase one joyously holding an amphora pouring water (ceramic drops coated in a drippy blue glaze) with a bird in flight and the other calmly relaxing below. They embody the joy and peace of nature and embrace themselves wholeheartedly, the flower decoration on their bodies indicating their oneness with nature.

Gold lustre details on the flowers bring the piece to life and add a sense of fun. These are a signature in my recent pieces.
