Part of today’s work was adding the decoration and sgraffito to this warrior sculpture 💙

I also used some Lino cuts to add decoration.

He will now dry slowly under plastic and the clay will turn very pale until when fired hopefully turning

Definitely one of my favourite things to make in 2025 and something I’ll be developing further in 2026… I’ll be gently returning to making over the next week and I’m excited to have a play and see what emerges.

Two new flower plates emerged from the kiln this morning 🌸 I experimented with once firing these ones and the result is pretty nice! Also saving energy and making them a bit more eco than twice or three times fired pieces.
